Male Pilot Arrested - Drunk in Charge of a Jumbo

Post by Comet »

A male PIA pilot was arrested as he was about to fly a 747 from Manchester to Pakistan. No replacement pilot was immediately available, so the flight was delayed whilst a pilot flew out from Pakistan to Manchester to fly the passengers on the 747.

(Sorry about the title, but seeing as we had a title about a FEMALE pilot being breathalysed, why not make the same amount of fuss when it happens to a MALE pilot? )

Don't think about the possible disasters this man could have caused... a shame! Probably this pilot will lose his license and his job, and that's what he deserves. I supposed pilots were smart and responsible people, but it's obvious there are still some cowboys around.
This is very negative for PIA.

I shake my head when I hear this happening. This is giving people in my profession a bad reputation, and I will not tolerate it!!!! He certainly does deserve to lose his license, and should have some sort of community service or something of that nature for putting all of those lives at risk!!!!

Orange in Lahore, Pakistan

97% will say no:
Pakistan: Muslim 97% (Sunni 77%, Shi'a 20%), Christian, Hindu, and other 3%.

Btw, to all the experts here in the forum: How many of you were in Pakistan? I was.
I particularly liked the orange festival in Lahore.
Notice in Pakistan the orange festival is in the begin of autumn. (the fruit). When you go to Afghanistan this festival is in spring, in the first week of April. (the flower) (Pashtoon Naranj Gul Mela and gul in Turkish means rose?).
Naranj reminded me of 'naranja' in Spanish. Strange as in languages near Turkish the word for orange is 'portakal'. And btw the Talibans never banned that orange flower festival....

Somebody else stayed there? Come on don't be shy. It's so easy to teach from behind your desks!!!

Is everyone in France christian? Maybe this pilot is not a muslim... and even if he was, whether it is against his religion or not its between him and his beliefs whatever he does drink or not, don't you think...?! Are you at the end the one who is going to djuge him??? :D

Come on man.. whocares about that!!!

To come back to the subject, I feel bad for that pilot yet I am glad we have drink cops in the airports!

The safest device in an airplane is a sober pilot!!!! 8)

Hey man, I don't care of this guy, it was only a joke (remember the  )
Next time, before shooting on everyone (me in particular :D ) read the posts with care. BTW I AM NOT CHRISTIAN MYSELF!!!

Are you usually snappy like this?
Relax.. don't have a cow.. my intentions were not to hurt your feelings ( remember the :D )

Try not to be so uptight and be cool next time.. I am not here to argue nor to waste time with people who want to or shooting on everyone like you freely mentioned.. So YOU try to read with more tact next time, it won't hurt.. and frankly I don't care whether you are christian or not  Where did I ask if you were or not???

La vie est belle.. remember that. Be cool! ;)

If you have ever been to a bars in Bahrain you will know that Muslims drink when they really want to!!! And before anyone gets all high and mighty, how many christians stick to what is inthe book? Exactly.

Bad enough driving a car over the limit...but a Jumbo? Oh dear.....makes you wonder how often people don;t get caught every day though doesn;t it!!?

People here seem to get in to the religious fervour and go :offtopic:

What i agree with A+ is his statement : The safest device in an airplane is a sober pilot!!!!

Stringent laws are present, but unless people are sincere in their approach to implement them, there is little we all can do!

Comet, any updates what happend to the Pilot now!
Aum Sweet Aum.
