I don't know what is going on but it is not only the LH and SN flights.
If you check the website http://www.munich-airport.de you will see that a lot of flights are cancelled or delayed.

Could be the weather?

Greetings,

Munich airport works at 30 % capacity- only one runway operating due to heavy snowfall- tons of flights cancelled or re-routed...

It is so strange to see major airports struggle like this with snow! Arent't they prepared for it? I'm sure that the weather centers can predict this snowfall, so I'm sure that an airport as munich has time to prepare for this! But 30% only that is not so much!

I have been in many airports and I do know that Munich Airport is very professional and capable of handling lots of snow. I call it 'German Grundlichkeit'. They have loads of trucks to remove the snow, have great de-icing teams, etc... But where do you start with really heavy snowfall? :?
