BRU passport control

Post by airtrainer »

Sorry for the rant but I arrived this morning at BRU and was once again greeted by an incredible "warm" welcome from the passport control agents. They definitely love their job and want to show it, no doubt. Soon they will complain to have been completely replaced by machines, at least the machines have a bright green colour once the doors open
We all have in mind the rude US agents a few years ago and it definitely changed since, time to act Belgium !

It must have been a dreadful experience, but they are lacking plenty of staff to get a good and proper job done. I would be moody in their place too!

I’d still be curious to see a typical roster of those officers…
Probably half of what cleaners and handlers do for much less money.

Also the welcome depends much on the language you speak… :?

They rarely open their mouth. Neither do I when I pass their control.

Well, the machines certainly won't scream or roll their eyes! Maybe the future of passport control is already here.
