Lufthansa discontinues following 2 routes to the UK in February:

Frankfurt – Bristol: Last flight 03FEB24. Currently scheduled 5 weekly with E190
Frankfurt – Liverpool: Last flight 02FEB24. Currently scheduled 1 weekly with CRJ900

Georgian Airways in the last few weeks removed planned service launch to Belgium, where the airline previously scheduled Tbilisi – Brussels service with 3 weekly flights.

British Airways will close its route to Beijing. The ban of to overfly Russia and probably the overcapacity have lead to a poor performance for the route

Some big airlines close some big routes (the grass is not always greener elsewhere). And not only Brussels Airlines has to make choice to close a route due to poor performance.

Yep, they resumed flights last year 12 years after the 2nd suspension. Point to point demand is quite low between Europe and Abu Dhabi unlike Europe and Dubai, so it was hard to fill the A340-300, then the A330-200 5 times a week.

This time i think loads were probably not very high (despite code share partnership with Etihad since 2012, thus the possibility to use AUH hub) then Air France needs long haul aircraft** to expand by opening new routes in South and North America but also add more capacities to North America. And Etihad has resumed its 2nd daily flight to CDG. This 2nd daily flight was suspended since covid.

They have started to use the A350-900. Theb they have replaced it most of time by the B777-300ER COI (Caribbean - Indian Ocean network ), meaning that they didn't have good results for the biz class (14 seats for the B777-300ER COI vs 34-48 for the A350-900)
