Air Belgium in 2024

Re: Air Belgium in 2024
According to an article behind paywall of the French "Journal de l'Aviation", LOT Polish Airlines will lease a second Airbus A330neo from Air Belgium under an ACMI contract. LOT has been wet-leasing a first Air Belgium A330neo since August 2023, operating essentially between Warsaw and New York JFK.

Re: Air Belgium in 2024
Actually, I have a doubt that it is really what it is supposed to say as the title is "LOT is also taking the second Airbus A330neo of Air Belgium in ACMI". My opinion is that they are supposing that both are flying but there is currently only one flying. Do not count on me to pay €19, that's insane.

On 26th March, OO-ABG (A330-900 (neo) flew from Brussels to Tarbes-Lourdes:

Re: Air Belgium in 2024
That leaves Air Belgium with only one passenger plane (A330-900 OO-ABF), after the twe A330-200s are gone to Air Serbia. Very little for a sustainable ACMI ooperation.Passenger wrote: ↑30 Mar 2024, 19:45 On 26th March, OO-ABG (A330-900 (neo) flew from Brussels to Tarbes-Lourdes:

Re: Air Belgium in 2024
What is great is that actually nobody checks info when they get published.
Yes, the first A339 left to Tarbes.
No, the A332 aren't gone (yet) to AirSERBIA : they are currently flying for Sri Lankan Airlines.

Air Belgium confirmed itself that OE-LAC and OE-LCL will go to Air Serbia:TLspotting wrote: ↑31 Mar 2024, 10:57 What is great is that actually nobody checks info when they get published.

Remarkable phrase in that article: "...We bereiden ons momenteel voor om deze vliegtuigen te vervangen door nieuwere toestellen met een interieur dat beter aansluit bij de vraag van de klant, zegt een woordvoerster van Air Belgium..."
They HAD a newer aircraft with better interior: OO-ABG = a 3 year old 330-941N. Parked in Tarbes now. Why? There aren't many reasons why a 3 year old aircraft is moved from its home base.

I know they are going to airSERBIA but the sentence of André is misleading.Passenger wrote: ↑31 Mar 2024, 11:54Air Belgium confirmed itself that OE-LAC and OE-LCL will go to Air Serbia:TLspotting wrote: ↑31 Mar 2024, 10:57 What is great is that actually nobody checks info when they get published.

Furthermore, ABG left to Tarbes due to problems at the engines, once again.
