I know i m focus on Kigali, but you forgot to say that SN will serve Kigali everyday for its first time in its history (even Sabena didn't do that)

I think I said it but Air Algérie canceled its increase plan.
Is this a serious rumor about Transavia ? Possibly a 4th plane?

Indeed. There should be around 24M pax in 2024 and 26M - pre-Covid - in 2025.

There are increases on the leisure destinations bcs SN decreased a lot on other destinations during Summer. Even when they receive extra capacity via the new A320neo. But yes, they increase also

You can add that FLY One will increase Chisinau to 3x a week between July and October.

Summer 24 vs. 23

+5 A320neo
-2 A320
-2 A319
-2 CRJ (Cityjet wetlease)

There is no extra capacity on short haul this summer.

The industry measures capacity in ASK (available seat kilometer). 5 A320neo's is a significant jump in capacity. More passengers on the same route does count.

TUI Fly is going to stop flying between Brussels and Cuba, Varadero. As from May no flights anymore and also during Winter it will not return.

It's the next long haul destination which TUI is canceling from BRU.

Where is the time they had a nice portfolio in that area

One can also remember that in a not-so-distant past, TUI couldn't fill its long-haul planes alone and shared its planes with Thomas Cook. Now that Thomas Cook has gone belly up, TUI needs to fill the planes alone. Sometimes, this is done by combining two destinations on the same flight, as was the case with Varadero. But if there are only a handful of passengers to Cuba, it is no longer economical to stop there and it becomes preferable to combine two other destinations in the Caribbean.

But they don't have too much anymore in the Caribbean. Handful and that's all. It seems also that there is a change in the travel mentality of the Belgians. In the past there were really a lot of flights there, even when TC went bankrupt, TUI could not take benefit of it to offer more. The opposite is true, downscaling. Only mediterranean and North of Africa.

It's not only SN who is offering less, also TUI. Luckily we have foreign carriers who are offering more or new flights to Belgium

Belgians can now travel visa free (2 weeks) to China.
Hopefully Hainan announces it's Shanghai flight soon.

Perhaps Cuba's dramatic economic situation is one of the reasons! Very very expensive life even for tourists, lack of services, ...and we don't really know it but overall people are hungry! Some people probably have less desire to go and have fun there!

Before Covid AF had 2 daily flights CDG/HAV and KLM 1 ! Today only 4 weekly flights with AF...I guess it's the same for IB.

Another reason is the fact that visiting Cuba prevents you from enjoying ESTA / visa-free travel to the US, it certainly does not help it as destination.

On the route upgraded from A319 to A320, yes.

At the network scale we cannot speak at all of a significant jump. See the all the decreased or cancelled routes.

3 NEOs as 2 are replacing CEOs.
So nett 2 NEOs replacing 2 319s and 2 CRJS, where they do you see a significant jump? I don’t even see an increase.

With the past, current and future strikes it will not be. 2023 had already 800.000 pax less than prognosed.
It will be a difficult year again. Watch the Summer, baggage handlers
