This is what happens when you live in a spotters friendly country as Belgium.

When you see that in Holland and Germany more and more is done for the spotters.
Here it's becoming worse everyday.

This we have to thank the "bikers" for. They were organizing illegal "grand prix" at the spot, and there were several incidents with them...

Maybe it's only closed for cars, and you can reach it by foot?

Gentlemen
It is possible to get up there on foot but I have only done it quickly as it is too cold to stay
Ironically, if the intention was to stop the bikers it has failed as they just ride around the fence. The tracks that I saw yesterday were very fresh.
It's a damn shame as for me (a proper spotter ie not interested in photos)as it was the best place around EBBR to spend a few hours..
Best Regards

All correct.
With a 4x4 or a bike; no problem to get around.
But the cold will kill you.

This fence was placed some weeks ago; it's alaways possibe to go around it by foot, but BE VERY CAREFUL; as I experienced myself, the bikers drive very fast and some of them don't really care about other prople walking to the sandhill

Hello everybody.

I see the smilies are in 'Christmas sphere' :D

But that's not why i'm in the forum.

The last time i went to BRU, the gate was there already, but
i could just walk next to it. Like they putted there just to keep
cars away. But it could be that those DAMN MOTORCYCLE-
BOYS putted there!!!!!!!!

Because it's starting to look more and more a motorcycle
race-track than a spotting place. I avoided the place the last
times i went, because, you can't go spotting there and enjoy
the silence anymore, it's always the damn sound of those
motorcycle (NL: type; crossers),and even jeeps,hummers,...
and not even yet spoken of the fact that you almost get ridden
over by them.

So i guess that in the winter it will be more quite there.(i hope)
and what i hope more is that they don't gonna make a fence there.

Lets just hope that you can stay walking around that gate.

Would be a real shame!!! Than they leave us no choice than standing on
the sound wall or next to the road (where it use to be forbidden to spot too)

Best Christmas regards; Yannick  [/i]

Hi

Indeed as already said it's thanks the motorcyclers.
It had to happen sometimes , i saw them regullary driving real
dangerous. And even as a spotter beside the track you were
in danger. You might be ridden over. 8O You use to see some
people with their children coming to spot there in the late afternoon.
But even they are avoiding the place now.

I hope they will stop this madness soon!!!!!!!!
And don't blame and punish the spotters with them.

Best Christmas regards; Yannick
