Rostec is trying to recover from Airbus about US$200 million in PDP for 17 A350s that were never built due to sanctions. Potentially similar lawsuits could be filed by other Russian carriers and lessors, including Aeroflot, which ordered 22 planes from Airbus but managed to get only seven.

Russian lessor VEB's subsidiary in Ireland was identified as the lessor that sold 10 B777-300ERs to Aeroflot in late 2022. The planes have been leased by Aeroflot since 2013 and 2014 and they were leased under a finance lease deal.
