I have the impression that the bulk of the B737 feeder flights for FedEx have now been transferred to CDG (as expected).

Very strange the autorities dont communicate more about this, its a good "debt" to start discussing growth elsewhere and sell a balance

Perhaps it was just a test the previous weekend in CDG, I noticed that most of the B737's operated again to/from LGG this week.
But the lack of communication is a fact.

About the 737s,

There is an average of 10 aircrafts operating during the week at night. They operate in LGG from Monday night to Thursday night/Friday early morning then go back to CDG.

Amongst them only 1 B757 still operating, but 4 AT72 !

This is the new daily schedule (1st column day of operation, 2nd column number of movements previously operated, 3rd column number of movements now operated) :

After several years of unbridled growth, Liege Airport is entering a period of transition, due to both geopolitical and economic realities.

Officials to impose a cap of 50,000 movements a year at Liege Airport. Introduction of a quota-count between 23.00 and 06.00 to limit the amount of noise generated by aircraft.

And soon people will realise those officials are making huge mistakes. And as always in Belgium, it will be too late.

Liège Airport management is appealing the decision. Its master plan provides for 65000 movements in a few years.

Let’s hope Liege Airport succeeds.
