TOKIO - All Nippon Airways (ANA) will not be offering passenger flights to Brussels and Düsseldorf this winter. In the current summer season, the airline still flies directly from Tokyo Narita to Brussels. Before the corona crisis, ANA also flew to Düsseldorf. That route would be resumed this winter, but that will not happen.

ANA was able to fly its normal domestic schedule again for the first time last July, after corona threw a spanner in the works for two years. Internationally, there are still many cancellations due to travel restrictions.

In Europe, the reopening of the routes to Stockholm, Milan, Istanbul and Moscow is postponed, while the route to Düsseldorf will not return at all for the time being. Furthermore, ANA pre-corona operated direct flights to Brussels all year round, but no flights can be booked on this route for next winter. Travellers are referred to flights to Frankfurt.

Whether flights to Brussels will return next summer is still uncertain. These flights are not yet bookable.


Entry restrictions
Japan still has strict travel restrictions for travellers from the Netherlands and other EU countries. For example, it is only permitted to fly to Japan in the form of a group trip: individual travel is not possible, except for a few exceptional groups. Also, a negative PCR test must be presented that is not older than 72 hours, and a visa application remains mandatory.
