Anyone what this Brussels Airlines A330 did to MRS?

He made a flight from Algeria. Initially I thought it was a special flight for Cameroonian fans who attended the Algeria Cameroon match. But Blida and Tamanrasset are not in the same area.

This was SN369 that left Yaounde for BRU yesterday evening around 2100UTC.
About 2 hours in the flight, while at FL400, they went into a 360 and descended to FL380 to land at TMR one hour later around midnight UTC.

SN369 20220330.png
Lengthy stay on the ground of about 5 hours per FR24 before heading for MRS, transiting at a normal FL380, for another stop over probably due to crew FT limitation?
5.5h stay in MRS, possibly waiting for a new flight crew to resume the flight to BRU.

Are there problems with snow in BRU at the moment? I see some delays and cancellations.

Why did it take almost 6 hours before taking off at TMR? Night curfew?
Why did the crew change at MRS take 3.5 hours? Seems lengthy to me, as a non-insider...

Good questions, that our contacts with SN failed to clarify.

OO-SFB landed in MRS just before 09.30, while the regular SN3597 (on which the replacement crew apparently positioned) didn't land until 12.30.

SQ7973/05APR departed from BRU, but when reaching Koblenz 9V-SFI decided to return to BRU.
Three vehicles from the fire department were mobilised to attend the landing at BRU.

On 11th April 2022, a Longtail Aviation Boeing 747-400-F from New York JFK to Maastricht with 4 crew, was enroute at FL350 about 730nm westnorthwest of St. John's,NL (Canada) when the crew observed the #3 engine parameters N1, N2, EGT becoming erratic, autothrottle commanded large thrust lever changes. The crew decided to continue towards Shannon and finally diverted to LGG Liège.

Flight took off again after about one hour on the ground.
Thus most probably a medical divertion.

Not happened in BRU, but en route to BRU:

After OO-SFD was delivered to AMM as SN9901, presumably for a maintenance check, yesterday afternoon, OO-SFF took off for her journey back to BRU, as SN9902.

However, after a few minutes, she started circling at low altitude about 50 km off the Israëli coast; then she stared climbing up again toward BRU, but, after a few minutes, turned back to AMM. The whole thing took about 2 hours.

Bad luck for OO-SFF that had just spent more than 2 months at AMM for maintenance!

(Pressurisation problem?)

And so OO-SFF blocked at AMM and consequences 1 intercontinental flight canceled daily like today the flight on JFK. Back to the multiple cancellations of yesteryear! Reputation back in play!

Luckily, SN got that 9th A330 a few months ago, so they escape a more embarrassing situation. I assume OO-SFF should be back in a few days.
