looking for scale model shops in Belgium

Post by killerwhale65 »

hi all,

is anyone aware of shops in BE where they have a lot of airplane scale models? Looking for Revell in particular, but also push-and-pit models.

PS: I am aware of the online shops abroad, so i dont need those.

thanks!

There's one in Brussels. It's on Rue de Lombard and it's called Classic Aviation or something similar. They have loads of models.
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

Well there is Verschooten at the Eiermarkt in antwerp. It has some Herpa models but really is specialised in revell kits etc.

There's also a small shop in the wijnegem shopping center, but this is really small...

Hi,

I know there is one in Namur/Namen but I don't know the name of the store or the exact adress.
If you are prepared to ride some distance you can go to Schiphol. The "Luchtvaart hobby shop" just near a runway. They got everything!!
It's already worth to see the store! :)

greets

Baillien in Borgerhout ( Antwerp ) Turnhoutsebaan.
About 25 minutes walk from Central Station.
I bought all my model kits there, they also have decals of Sabena and City Bird and VEX.

there's a shop in the center of Brussels (When you come out of central station, go down the kunstberg and through the shopping street in direction of anspach center). No revell kits I think but they do sell some herpa models and they even have some (resin?) models... Saw a sabena caravelle there and some other nice stuff...

this is their website: http://www.tammodel.be

did you mean their website is not easy to find? or the shop?

what do you mean with "R/C models"?

for Revell kits and things like that you could try a shop very close to my home...
The shop is called "Albatros" and is located on the Leuvensesteenweg in Muizen, very close to the Planckendael zoo... They used to have lots of ac revell kits and other brands, also rc models...

Indeed Stoney, in the "Grasmarkt / Marché aux herbes" area you have two interesting shops:
- Brand SPRL/BVBA 60, Marché aux Herbes/Grasmarkt
Phone 02/512.48.93

- Brussels Model Shop: located on the 1st floor of a toy-shop for (small) children.
Grasmarkt/Marché aux Herbes, 36
Phone 02/512.29.56
Fax 02/512.23.56

Regards

perhaps you are thinking of TAM modelisme/modelbouw
they have a large shop in Grimbergen and another one in Wierde near Namur, on the N4 road. they are quite good but to my impression their main aim is R/C models. they have a website but is not easy to find...
Tam Thats a very good shop, i've buy my R/c planes there

I know there is a big shop in the city center of Hasselt(Koning Albertstraat) where you can find a lot of scale models. The shop is called Broux.
