No, they can still vacate via C2 as the SN below did minutes ago. About 1200m from TD.

Alternately, use C3 for a safety belt check.

Not sure you could vacate via C1 as you'd need to use TWY V1 which is only 20m wide.

There are no restrictions on V1, except 747-8 and A380. Of course, some pilots prefer not to use V1 due to its narrowness, but that’s pilot’s discretion.

01/19 closed due to works

The day started with moderate eastern wind and runways 25L and R. As the eastern wind increased, now Rwys 07L (Arr) and 07R (Dep).

If wind conditions remain as they are, the 07 runways will permute at sunset: 07R for arrivals, 07L for departures.

What's the point of doing that?

Sharing out annoyance as evenly as possible, I should reckon. The spirit of Bertje hasn't entirely evaporated, as yet :)

That is why after sunset RWY 07R is used with a straight in VOR/DME. And with a loss in capacity due to bad exit TWYs.
Explanation of 2 yrs ago, is still valid.

Thanks DIBO. Don't be too surprised if I ask again in 2 years from now: my memory isn't improving... ;) :)

How much does an ILS and landing lights cost for 07L?
Maybe it's cheaper than adding / rebuilding exits on 07R?

Better for Zaventem City Centre as well...
