AviaRoma plans to launch operations in February 2023 with E190 and E195. It is rumoured that the new carrier bought the licenses of defunct Ego Airways. AviaRoma plans to expand into long-haul and cargo in the future.

Panorama Airways of Uzbekistan made its first domestic flight from Tashkent to Urgench on 22 December, with A320. The first international flight from Tashkent to Moscow was on 23 December 2022.

Marabu (Estonia) to acquire four used A320neos in 2023, on lease from Aviation Capital Group (US) and operated by Nordica. The first three are due soon, with the fourth to follow soon after.

Irish airline Emerald Airlines has obtained an AOC from the UK CAA for its airline company in Northern Ireland, Emerald Airlines UK, which was established for its Belfast-based operations.

Royal Eswatini National Airways was issued its AOC and will begin operating with its two ERJ145 soon. The next step is to obtain related operating permits from aeronautical authorities of the foreign countries it plans to operate to.

Sky Vision Airlines of Egypt has completed its first commercial flight, on 02 January 2023 from Sharm El-Sheikh to Cairo with A320.

Air Anka of Turkey received its passenger transport license and made its first flight from Istanbul to the Dominican Republic.

Really Cool Airlines is the airline project headed by Patee Sarasin, which plans to launch operations in Thailand in 4Q 2023 with three widebody aircraft — either A350, B787, or B777-300ER. The carrier aims to reach a fleet of 15 planes in three years.

Supernova Airlines has received its AOC from Ukraine, which enables it to start its own cargo flights from spring 2023 with two leased An-26s. The flights will be from Warsaw and other airports, until Kyiv Boryspil and Lviv are safe for operations.

Centrum Air, a new private airline in Uzbekistan, receives its first two aircraft, two A320s which landed at Tashkent. A B737 will follow.

SkyUp MT of Malta, which expects its AOC and operating license by March 2023, intends to launch summer 2023 charters to Romania on behalf of sister company and tour operator, Join Up.

Mexico’s President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador reported that in approximately a month the creation of the new military airline, under the Mexicana de Aviacion brand, will be signed and announced.

Air Moana of French Polynesia has obtained its AOC before the first commercial flights on 13 February 2023 with ATR72-600.

Eswatini Air plans to begin operations in late March 2023, having secured numerous licenses and permits in recent weeks.

Siam Seaplane of Thailand plans to launch domestic charter operations in summer 2023 out of Bangkok with three Cessna Grand Caravans. The company will expand into commercial flights with a second hub in Phuket or Krabi, and potential expansion into Indonesia and Cambodia.

Valletta Airlines of Malta has now secured its AOC and operating license from Malta, ahead of its 2023 launch of operations with one A320. The carrier plans to grow its fleet to three A320s and two A330-200s by the end of 2023.

It's now official! The Minister of Transport, the Sea and the Merchant Navy, Dieudonné Loïc Ndinga Moudouma, revealed, during his appearance on Sunday February 25, 2024 on the program Les Grands Dossiers, the name of the new national airline.
