Great news, but unfortunately I don't know yet if I'll be able to come tomorrow. ...

I travelled in one Yak-40 between BRU and DUS some 30 years ago.

Don't worry, Louise, every week there are specials at BRU. But not during the one week you will be here

We will be around for 10 days - 6th and 16th September compulsory in BRU and 12th for spotting, but we could always make a little detour if something special came along! And there's always Oostende.

Meerkat - nice for you to see the Yaks, I'm jealous! (But then again if I'm lucky the colourful Bulgarian Tu154 might be paying a visit to MAN on Sunday  )

And to make you a little bit more jalous Louise, here are three pictures of LY-SKC which came this morning as expected.

Great photos Chris, lucky you  I am jealous

I am pinning my hopes on Sunday, with charters at MAN you don't always know what will turn up. Being at the airport hotel means lots of lovely spotting for me so I can hang around for longer than I did last year when we were staying in central Manchester and had to catch a train back from the airport. On that day, the Balkan Holidays TU154 had arrived in the early evening but I had left both my camera and video camera in the hotel, so I couldn't bag it  But this year I won't make that mistake  So I am hoping to get some really good stuff to compile a report when I get home.

It will return to Lithuania on Saturday around 23:55LT (after the soccer team has been beaten by the Red Devils ).
Until than it can be easely photographed from the car parking near the main pax terminal.

No! Are you going to Charleroi?

I wonder why the Lithuanian (not Latvian ;-) ) team did not land in Charleroi rather than in Brussels.

Hi Avro,

They did not loose... the game turned into a draw (1-1) :!:

Bad result for Belgium but a good one for Lithuania :!:

Hi all,

just returned from the game and yes I was live @ Stade de Pays ;-) Please excuse me for my lateness as I was invited by my friend into the VIP-lounge where you could drink Jupiler as much as you liked ;-) Anyway it was a close game with Lithuania noticably coming for only 1 point, besides Belgium didn't showed their best football... 1-1 is a bad result for Belgium and I think it must have been a good result for Lithuania as they where party-ing like they won the World Cup 2006 ;)

But terribly :offtopic: ;)

Hey Karl,

sorry for the late reply, but I wasn't home the lastfew days... When the Yak landed I was standing in the fields near 25L (on the side of the jumbo).
