TNT B737’s

Post by liebensd »

In a press release Tnt tot it would add 2 B737 freighters, a couple months ago, to their fleet. I have looked on the net and found this:

OO-TNA 737-3TO(F) msn 1228 ex N13331 (Continental Airlines)
OO-TNB 737-3TO(F) msn 1358 ex N39340 (Continental Airlines)

I think these aircrafts are for the moment sill not operating whit TNT

Is this information correct?

Greetz,

Dave

Having checked WITH Aviation Letter (AL438 & AL439) the situation is not yet completely clear.

OO-TNA is constructor's no.(c/n or msn) 23569 line no.(l/n) 1258 which was registered to AFS Investments IX LLC on 11.03.03 and has been converted to a feighter. On 28.05.03 it was registered to TNT Airways SA on lease.

OO-TNB will be c/n 23578 l/n 1358 was registered to Polaris Leasing International Inc on 23.04.03 after being ferried to Dothan, Alabama on 07.04.03 for freighter conversion. This aircraft may not yet be registered to TNT.

No delivery dates have been given.

Hope this helps

Hey Dave,

Concerning c/n 23578, it is due for TNT Airways in September 2003 as OO-TNB, so still a while to go

C/n 23569 was indeed due for TNT in May 2003 as OO-TNA, so we should be able to 8O this bird one of these days.

Hello all ,

I don't think they already got those planes but what I know is that the pilots who were flying on the 744F ( not flying for TNT anymore ) have to fly back on the BAe 146 and that TNT will employ new pilots for their 737 ...

Regards

Well it is already done ! That's why they are buying two 737 , that's in order to replace this famous 744 ! Check on www.airliners.net you have pics of it , I don't remember the reg but it's the one with the blue tail and with " TNT Airways " Titles , it is not flying at Liege anymore for TNT. And that's right

SLR001,

That is the same aircraft, here is the aircrafts history:

Delivered on 12/04/1998 as N494MC to Atlas Air whit these registrations MSN 29255/1184. Than transferred to TNT Airways as OO-TJA and now back registered as N494MC for Atlas Air.

This is an update about TNT’s 737’s. Yesterday (29/6) I visited Liege Airport, I the neighborhood of the TNT maintenance hanger was a 737 in TNT colors parked. The registration was still N13331 and does not have been changed to OO-TNA. I made some pictures from it I will post them when I am able to.

And what about the TNT Tu-204F? Are they happy with them? Are they interested by more of them?
