Why would the French Air Force be landing in ANR, where there are no military installations, rather than in BRU?

You do not need military installations for training flights, do you?

Even Belgian Air Force craft (from Marchetti's to C130's) are regular visitors to EBAW - why then shouldn't our neighbour countries'? Mind you, there is no indication these flights were for training purposes, but that does seem like the most likely reason.

(on a sidenote) The timings given correspond so perfectly with French table traditions - lunch starts at 13:00 local, dinner at 19:00 - a nice bit of planning! Which is of course an important part of flight training - don't forget the vitals :)
