Probably bit of both? Like other Russian companies, it will be a lot easier for them to get replacement parts and repair information, compared to non-Russian companies (who need FATA + EASA approval for repairs). This might keep AOG-time to an acceptable level.

United Aircraft is considering developing an enlarged version of the SSJ100, with options for dimensions are being studied: for 115, 120, 125, 130 and 140 seats in a single-class layout.

United Aircraft will deliver 59 SSJ100s to Russian airlines in 2020, including to Aeroflot, Red Wings, Azimut, and Yakutia.

Russia to complete the development of a new version of the SSJ100 in 2023. The aircraft modification include the substitution of some foreign components and the adoption of the PD-8 engine, costing roughly US$1.6 billion.

Russia plans to resume export deliveries of the SSJ100s only after saturation of the domestic market, which, based on the current production schedule of 22-23 aircraft per year, will not occur until 2022.

United Aircraft says the Russian PD-8 engine for the SSJ100 and the BE200 may be ready in 2022 and the work to mount it on the aircraft is scheduled to begin in 2023.

Rossiya Airlines has confirmed its intention to receive and put into operation the first 10 SSJ100s by the end of 2020. Some of the aircraft to be commissioned are used Aeroflot aircraft and several aircraft will be new.

Aeroflot has decided to transfer all its SSJ100s to Rossiya Airlines by the end of 2022. Rossiya intends to double its fleet to 120 aircraft in 2021, more than half of which will be on Russian airliners

Russia is ready to subsidise the cost of a flight hour of SSJ100 aircraft. It is assumed that in 2020-2021 airlines can expect to receive US$500 for each flight hour.

Brussels Airlines no longer interested?

Red Wings received a new SSJ100, which became the fourth aircraft of this type in the carrier’s fleet. By the end of 2021, the airline will increase its fleet of SSJs to 16, with a total of 32 expected.

Rossiya Airlines will begin using SSSJ100 transferred from the Aeroflot fleet on 01 January 2021. By the end of 2021, the carrier plans to increase the SSJ100 fleet to 66 aircraft.

Manufacturer Irkut wants to buy out SSJ100, MSN 95102, 95105, 95108, 95111, 95117, 95118, that were refused by CityJet and mostly wet-leased to Brussels Airlines. If successful, the planes will be transferred to Russian airlines.

Russia says 37 SSJ100s with be delivered in 2021. The production rate of 22-23 aircraft per year will occur in 2022.

Russia says the new business version of the SSJ aircraft will appear in 2H 2021. The SSJ-VIP will have sharklets, additional tanks and other options.

Mexican airline Interjet is in talks to sell its SSJ100 fleet to Cuba, as part of the plans to restructure.

Irkut is reportedly in talks to obtain SSJ100 orders from two Russian airlines that currently do not operate the Russian-made aircraft. Delivery is expected from late 2022.

United Aircraft (Rostec) plans to deliver 33 SSJ100s in 2021, including eight for Aurora, the new Russian Far East air carrier.

Serbia has resumed talks with Russia for the acquisition of SSJ100s, which will be operated by Air Serbia.

Irkut can certify the cargo version of the SSJ100 aircraft within two years, if the business plan for the new variant is approved.

On the passenger side, Irkut has signed a firm agreement with Rossiya Airlines to supply 15 SSJ100s in 2021, while LOIs with Red Wings, Azimut and Aurora were also signed for the supply of 43 SSJ100s in 2021-2026.
