Interesting move, especially because they already have a diverse fleet: Airbus A319, CRJ700, CRJ900 and Saab 2000 aircraft. On the other hand, 98 seats and a larger MTOW should create some opportunities.

When speaking about the future fleet, the spokesperson of Adria Airways did not mention the Saab 2000. I don't know if this happened accidentally - or if they are probably thinking about getting rid of them.

Iran needs some 500 planes and would likely back buying the SSJ100 if Russia is willing to sell them to its airlines.

Interjet (Mexico) plans to offer 15 of its SSJ100s on lease to other companies and is willing to buy eight new aircraft, according to Sukhoi Civil Aircraft president Alexander Rubtsov.

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft plans to supply 28 SSJ100s to customers in 2019, up from 26 this year. In the future, the company plans to deliver 30-35 aircraft per year over the next seven years.

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft president Alexander Rubtsov says CityJet may cancel their cooperation in 2019, due to the latter changing its business model (see post above).

TASS : Sukhoi Civil Aircraft to sign a contract for 6 aircraft for a Thai airline by year's end

MOSCOW, December 21. /TASS/. Sukhoi Civil Aircraft, the producer of Sukhoi Superjet 100 planes, plans to conclude a deal to supply six aircraft for a new airline in Thailand by the end of 2018, the company's President Alexander Rubtsov told reporters. "We are planning to make a deal in Thailand - at the end of this year we will officially announce it - it is a deal with a company, which is now being established. If everything goes smoothly, it concerns six aircraft. Apparently, they will build a warehouse to service the aircraft in the Asian region," he said.

The Sukhoi Superjet 100 is a modern fly-by-wire twin-engine regional jet. The airliner was designed and spearheaded by Sukhoi, a division of the Russian civil aerospace company (UAC). Its maiden flight was conducted on 19 May 2008. Commercial passenger flights began in 2011. The flight range of the basic version is 4,400 km, capacity - 98 passengers. The largest operators of the SSJ-100 are Russia's Aeroflot and Mexico's Interjet. Earlier Rubtsov said that in 2019, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft plans to deliver 28 planes to customers.

TASS : Sukhoi Civil Aircraft plans to start supplies of SSJ-100 jets to Slovenia's Adria in April 2019

MOSCOW, December 21. /TASS/. Sukhoi Civil Aircraft expects to start shipping SSJ-100 aircraft to the Slovenian airline Adria Airways in April next year, the company's President Alexander Rubtsov told reporters. He said that Sukhoi Civil Aircraft plans to sign a firm contract in the first quarter of 2019. "We are working on this (signing a firm contract with Adria - TASS). I think that in the first quarter of next year we will embark on signing the contract. I think, maybe even earlier - in February, because we have the plan for the first delivery in April," he said. In late November, it became known that Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and Adria Airways signed an agreement of intent on the purchase of 15 SSJ-100 jets. It was reported that deliveries will start in 2019. The parties also signed an agreement to establish a joint venture for the maintenance and repair of SSJ-100 planes at the Ljubljana Airport.

About Adria Airways

Founded in 1961, Adria Airways now operates about 200 flights a week. The base of the airline is located at the airport of Ljubljana. The airline fleet consists of 19 aircraft, Adria operates Airbus A319, Bombardier CRJ-700 and -900 and Saab 2000. In mid-2017, Vladislav Masalov, who was the head of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft at that time, told TASS that the contract with Adria was being discussed and it concerned the delivery of 12 aircraft.

Iran may not receive Russia’s Sukhoi SuperJet 100 airliners to boost its ageing air fleet due to US trade restrictions. The jets reportedly have more US-made parts than are allowed for export without Washington’s approval.

Earlier, Russia and Iran sealed a deal for the delivery of 40 new twin-engine regional passenger aircraft of the latest version, Sukhoi Superjet 100R, for two Iranian airlines – Iran Air Tours and Aseman Airlines. The deal is believed to be worth $2 billion and an even more ambitious agreement for 100 planes was being considered.

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft says it did not receive any feedback from the US as far as the request for SSJ100 export delivery to Iran is concerned.

Sukhoi Civil Aircraft reduced the number of SSJ100s produced in 2018 by one third, compared to 2017. SCAC built 23 SSJ100s in 2018, 11 aircraft short of 2017 output. Not really the sign of a healthy business...

You forgot to mention this was because of the "amazing" work Safran has done with the hot part of the Sam146, lasting about only 1000 to 2000 hours before cracking up instead of the promised 8000hrs. This forced SCAC to use the production engines as spares for its customers. As bad as SCAC support has been, Safran's role in the appalling situation of the SSJ100 has been a very important one.

Rosaviatsiya issued an airworthiness directive for Sukhoi Civil Aircraft to inspect a reported 50 SSJ100s that might have developed micro-cracks in landing gear and engine and flap attachment points, allegedly made of uncertified titanium alloy.
