Acars Log's

Post by AN124 »

Hi all,

After some months of not being able to use my ACARS system it's back on-line again.

At the following links you will find the log's. Just have a look at it and maybe you find some registration your were missing.

Although my ACARS is not running 24/7 I'l try to post as many logs as I can for you guys.

4th July: http://home.hetnet.nl/~aviationspotting ... ly2004.pdf
5th July: http://home.hetnet.nl/~aviationspotting ... ly2004.pdf (NEW)
7th July: http://home.hetnet.nl/~aviationspotting ... ly2004.pdf (NEW)

Just let me know if you want to have more of these logs available.

Best Regards,
Yvo

That wouold be great Yvo. It would really make it more easier to find some missing regs. :)
But can I ask you to mention where you spotted those planes ?? The location is important as well.

Ciao

Chris,

All the flights listed in the log above are picked up by my scanner and translated by the airnav Acars Decoding system.

I live aprox. 20 km from Maastricht and have a range of approx 100 km with my scanner.

This doesn't mean I pick up every single plane in this radius but I will log a lot of them.

Best Regards,
Yvo

Very impressive, Yvo.

Your Air Polonia was probably a WAW-CRL flight.

I just added the link for the Log from the 5th of July in my first post.
In this log I replace the c/n colum with a colum the mentions the flightnumber.
This would be more interesting for most of you I think.

I was also already thinking it was one of the CRL flight.
But I didn't mention the route because I was not completely sure and the plane didn't transmit it route in it's message.

Hope some of you can use these log's in tracking down some of the flight you are missing or saw cruising at a higher altitude.

Best Regards,
Yvo

Yvo,

Are you picking those signals up with your Uniden Bearcat 220XLT ? (You had the same like me don't you ?)

Is it possible that a good soundcard plays a great role? Because I tried it several times with a freeware Acars program and it didn't work.
Can you help me with this?

Regards
Raymond

Hi Raymond,

I indeed receive those signals with the Uniden Bearca XLT220. There are 2 things really important to receive the signals good.

First you need to have the correct frequencies setup for you scanner and the volume settings need to be correct.
Second the location you are living is important as well. Above my head there is a hugh intersection where lot's of planes are coming over.
But in order the receive the signals very good also the location of your scanner is important. You're antenna needs to stand as close as possible to a window the avoid noise.

Just drop me an email with your current settings and I'll try to help you to setup your decoder for you. I bought the Airnav Decoder my self and I'm very statisfied with it.

Best Regards,
Yvo

I just bought Airnav too. When using the internet source, routing are decoded, but when I use my own source ;) I only get EBBR-EGGL instead of Brussels to London. Is there a way it decodes?

There are some update packages you can download across the internet. Just go to the Airnav Updates page and there they provide you links to sites where you can find those packages for free.

Personal I rather see the airport code then the name but that's different for everybody.

Yvo
