It would have been difficult to use any of their other planes at ANR!Boeing767copilot wrote:equipment: E190.
Reservations from October 2014 for travel from Easter 2015. Tickets from €39.99 one way.
To service the route, Jetairfly will acquire a third E190.

Re: BREAKING: JAF from ANR to ALC, PMI and AGP
JAF is, as they rightly claim, the only airline flying from all five Belgian airports. Hats off - that really is a dynamic airline !
Besides, Antwerp airport is not so far away from Brussels, and the car parking is free ...

IF IT AIN'T BOEING, I'M NOT GOING.
Re: BREAKING: JAF from ANR to ALC, PMI and AGP
Is the runway long enough to fly to AGP fully loaded without a fuelstop?

Re: BREAKING: JAF from ANR to ALC, PMI and AGP
Good question there as the RWY is only 1510 meters long...
Re: BREAKING: JAF from ANR to ALC, PMI and AGP
As "Non-stop" isn't written anywhere, maybe we should expect something like triangular flights with a stop in LGG/CRL/OST ?

Would be great for the environment!flywithUs wrote:As "Non-stop" isn't written anywhere, maybe we should expect something like triangular flights with a stop in LGG/CRL/OST ?

I'm quite sure that what they claim there isn't correct. 1250 meters for a full packed E190 is just way too little...galaxy wrote:I have found this :

Length for MTOW is 1.650m:Stij wrote:Is the runway long enough to fly to AGP fully loaded without a fuelstop?

Re: BREAKING: JAF from ANR to ALC, PMI and AGP
All those references to the E-190 E2 are a bit premature. That's the new generation which Jetairfly certainly isn't flying; first deliveries of the E-190 E2 are expected in 2018. I believe they just use the E190-100 STD version which - according to Embraer - needs a 5243 feet runway at MTOW, or about 300 feet longer than what's available at ANR.
Re: BREAKING: JAF from ANR to ALC, PMI and AGP
you need 1.650 m for 5.186 km!
not for the destinations mentionned!

In 1977 i have flown with the boeing 737-200 (Sabena) from ANR to LHR, afterwards with the fokker 28 (DAT) to Lhr. You had a daily flight from Antwerp to Brussels by Boeing 737-200. Took it when i was 12. (1977) Lovely times to take off from 'Deurne' with a 737.
Re: BREAKING: JAF from ANR to ALC, PMI and AGP
I am more concerned for the landing if the runway is wet.
Re: BREAKING: JAF from ANR to ALC, PMI and AGP
Seems to work also on a wet runway (but probably not too heavy): E190 wet rwy

Not only the condition of the RWY is important also the crosswind.
I remember that the arrival of the Embraer Lineage OO-NGI was postponed for several days due to the crosswind and the wet RWY.
But the Embraer is not the only one with the problem, also some Learjet & Challenger types can't arrive at ANR when the RWY is too wet in combination with crosswind.
Also the official website of ANR airport isn't showing anything about JAF, I guess you should be proud on this great news?!
Greetnigs,
All my posted timings are local !
Re: BREAKING: JAF from ANR to ALC, PMI and AGP
Of course the X-wind is important, but it's valid for any runway and that has nothing to do with the runway length available...tangolima wrote:HelloDIBO wrote:Seems to work also on a wet runway (but probably not too heavy): E190 wet rwy

in case of a triangle, everything works no ? ...
leaving ANR with the tanks empty, fly to LGG or LIL, fill up and go.
same for landing, empty.

Re: BREAKING: JAF from ANR to ALC, PMI and AGP
Are scheduled domestic flights allowed in Belgium at this moment? I remember something about a ban some decade ago...
Re: BREAKING: JAF from ANR to ALC, PMI and AGP
within wallonia it was banned
but LGG-OST were common for many years.
Now they seem to prefer LGG-LIL
