First A380 flight scheduled for January 2005
Airbus has confirmed that the first A380 flight will take place in January 2005.
"The aircraft’s test schedule can be divided into three sections: the first, lasting around two months, is to obtain initial knowledge of the behaviour of the aircraft. The second, which lasts approximately half-a-year, runs parallel to the ground-based structural tests and comprises the final development and optimisation of the aircraft’s systems. The third phase is dedicated to aircraft certification."

I would love to see the A380! I love to spot 747-400s, and even more if I can photograph them, so the A380 should be a superb sight to get a photo of.
Can't wait to see it in airline liveries instead of the Airbus house colours it seems to have in all the mock up pictures.

Hi poor fellas,
I will download the pictures when I make a shopping trip to Dubai somewhere next year. (The Go-for-Gold-Tour)
Btw, coming back on an old subject: McDonnald's and A380. Remember some years ago that there was a joint venture in the air with McDonnalds and Virgin to offer hamburgers on demand during flights, in case if Virgin would have a new big airliner? Does somebody has some feedback on that?
