As from June 16 the SQ office in Brussels town will be definitively closed.
All pax flights to/from Benelux are concentrated in AMS.
Cargo office remains open in Brucargo.

Wouldn't it be logic that they still allow you to buy tickets to SIN on an SQ code via FRA?
Well, it is exactly the reverse that happens: all the flights from BRU to FRA are LH and only LH, and the SQ flights from FRA to SIN have a LH codeshare number. This shows that LH is the dominant partner of the Star Alliance.
Dave: AT has scheduled some B744's into BRU for this summer.

Woops, let me rephrase: I meant to say that I find amazing that SQ does not put it's code anymore on the BRU-FRA-BRU flights operated by LH.
Of the 3 daily (or less now with SARS) FRA-SIN-FRA flights, 2 are operated with an SQ B744, 1 with a LH 744. LH also sends an A343 to SIN from MUC.
It is really sad: SQ had been flying to Brussels since 1979 (!) and has been the longest serving long-haul airline in BRU. BRU is now totally cut from Asia (except Dhaka), from South America... I have met several persons that flew this SQ flight to go to Australia.

I also remember when it was possible to fly BRU-JFK on SQ. BRU and AMS were alternatively stopovers on the SIN-JFK route. SQ had the first 744s in BRU. This was a damn competition for Sabena at that time.

Steve? You replied on a message of 2003.
Can you explain why you come back on this issue so late?
It is not criticism from my side, just a genuine question with a reason: Thai Air doesn't have flights to/from Brussels since many years, but still has a (very) decent office. ( in the heart of Brussels and where they do speak Dutch by the way )
I assume you must have some frustration about being unable to reach Singapore Airlines directly.
