Is there something wrong at BRU right now , maybe thunderstorms?

All planes are in the holding and delayed with at least one hour , OO-JEB made already 8- rounds above Liège and still doesn't seems to be ready for landing...

I just drove back from Brussels to Mechelen and the conditions were horrendous. Massive downpours in Brussels, and dangerous driving conditions. So I assume it is because of the weather.

during the night there was first a -high wind alert-, followed later by a lightning strike alert. This means no ground ops allowed, such as surface transport, headset, pushback, loading/offloading, fuelling, positioning of jetbridges......

No need to tell this results in chaos.
