MD-11 Tips at LAX - Photo

Post by Comet »

Here is an extra to the news article https://www.aviation24.be/article4471.html about the MD-11 which tipped up at Los Angeles. The aircraft was a freighter variant belonging to World Cargo Airline, and the freight was unloaded from the front of the aircraft first, leaving everything in the back to unbalance the aircraft. There is a photo below.

MAn, how can people be so stupid and unload the plane from the front first. Don't they know the consequence  I mean they don't do that job for the first time do they ?????

Anyway, do you know the registration of the MD-11 Louise ???

And Captain that's a very funny picture, made me laugh  Buut Comet is right poor animal :(

Sorry Chris but I don't know the reg of the MD-11. When we first saw the news report about it, it was obvious that it had happened at night, or very early morning because it was dark and it was hard to make out the detail on the aircraft (we couldn't even see the name of the operator, I got that from the website with the photo on).

Tail stand

Post by Conakry »

Somebody should have explained that when unloading an aircraft you should always use a tail stand .

In the case of the donkey the "tail" stand did not function...

anyway, bad show in both cases
