SLR B767 in TUI colours?

Post by sn26567 »

Coming back from FRA yesterday night, I saw (far away) a B767 (I think) painted entirely in light blue colours, with only a red JetAir logo and a little Belgian flag. Nothing on the tail.

I knew already that a SLR B737 had been painted in TUI colours, with the TUI logo on its tail (that red smiling face representing the TUI letters in a stylised manner).

But also a 767 ? :?:

Are you sure there was a belgian flag on it?? because otherwise it could have been an A300 (MNG) or A310 (Hapag-Lloyd) in Tui colours.

The MNG A300 (TC-MNE) was again sitting on the old terminal today and has been a regular feature at BRU for a few weeks now. Perhaps this aircraft is on temporary contract with Sobelair/TUI for flights from Belgium to Turkey?

I think that MNG TUI-A300 will stay the entire summerschedule at Brussels. MNG also flies towards Brussels with a Boeing 737, did you noticed allready that the tail of the plane has a lot in common with the blue SN BA-tails ?

ciao,

It was clearly not the MNG TC-MNE, unless it has been repainted very recently. It might have been a Hapag Lloyd A310, but all those I know have at least a stylised red TUI on their tail. And this one had the JetAir logo...

I'm still waiting

It seems that many airlines choose this kind of paint scheme. You could say it's kind of in..

MNG

SNBA

FEDEX

Champion AIr

My Travel

Star Airlines

And of course many more...

One of the SLR B 767 is flying indeed in a blue/red TUI livery.
I'll ask my wife, -she's flying on that aircraft- about the registration.
I guess it's the OO-SLT, but I'll confirm this later on.

let's hope not, the colours it has for the moment are much nicer than the ugly TUI blue!

I agree that the original colours of SOBELAIR are much nicer.
But this is flying publicity for TUI / Jet Air and I think that SOBELAIR, has -in these difficult days of the company- no choice and has to be convenient to the "whishes" of the tour operators.

The OO-SLT is NOT flying in TUI colors. It has recently been repainted in DCA-colors and performes flights from AMS to Curacao.
I can confirm that it is still flying like this, because a good friend of mine spotted it at AMS yesterday.

Sorry for the wrong information.
There is NO B 767 from SOBELAIR in TUI colours.
The OO-SLT is flying in DCA colours and two B-737 (a B737-300 and a B737-400 are flying in the blue/red TUI jet Air colours

So it can only be OO-SLS or OO-SLR!!
Or OO-IHV. But SLR told that they did not want to paint the B763's + the B738 in TUI c/s.

André - your best bet is TC-MNE (no idea which other TUI wide bodies would be at BRU).
