Today around 7am while sitting in à LH plane to munich in que for take off after SN plane, sn plane had to stop suddenly the take off because engine fire.I can asure you it was really à explosion of the engine!! Not à nice experience.more news??

It was SN3813 BRU- LIS operated by OO-SNB.
It was an engine stall or something like that.

Believe me, it was à serious "steekvlam" The runway was closed

There is normally a big open flame inside a jet engine, thus I don't think it's that unusual for a jet engine to throw large flames around if something doesn't work as advertised. For example if the fuel passes through the combustion chamber without burning, then ignites at the end of the engine because of the temperature there.

SN 3813 took off the same day at 9.35 am. about 3 hours later, operated by OO-SSK.
