Re: Iron Maiden B757
" The plane is regularly used for commercial flights; however the band’s distinctive livery is usually removed beforehand.
The Boeing 757-200 is owned by Gatwick-based Astraeus airlines – which boasts the band’s frontman Bruce Dickinson as a pilot. "

“Iron Maiden have just finished the overseas leg of their world tour and the plane has gone straight into use, as a plane being used by Thomson Airways had some mechanical difficulties and has been taken away for repairs. That’s why we haven’t had a chance to take the logo off.”
A spokesman for Thomson Airways admitted the plane had been “quite a talking point” for passengers. “It has been quite interesting for them, definitely,” he said. “It’s a little different to what you normally see on the tarmac."
(....)
The band finished the international leg of their tour in Florida on April 17 and will restart in Frankfurt, Germany on May 28.
A spokesman for Iron Maiden confirmed that their plane had been handed back to Astraeus, and said: “it is not being used by the band, as they only use it for the international leg of their world tours, which finished just a few days ago.
“The next leg is across Europe and all the equipment will be taken by freight, so they don’t need their own plane"
Sorry, no "Iron Maiden" 757 airplane. But I think sdbelgium is right about the Embraer 135BJ Legacy.
