Surf to http://coppermine.luchtzak.be then click on 'register'

After you accepted the terms of service (TOS) you will need to enter username, password (2 times), e-mailadress and if you like you can add some additional information. After you submitted all your details you will receive an e-mail where you need to visit the link included.

then you can 'login'

Now that you are logged in you can start making your own albums, press 'create/order my albums'

press 'new', then fill in the title of your album, in this case it's 'Test album', don't forget to click 'submit modification' and on the next page press 'continue'

Now you can start uploading your images, press 'upload picture'

Select the appropriate album
Browse through your files on your harddisk
Enter a matching title and comments
Use some keywords so your picture will be found faster

May I remind you that whenever you like to include the url to your coppermine-images in forums/mail use the one mentioned below the image.

e.g.: http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... ?pos=-2754 underneath the picture you will find the url to that image.

I know that other url's are also possible but due to cookie-settings the url will not always direct you to the correct image.

greetz,

Bart

May I also ask you whenever you upload your aviation images to coppermine to include as much as possible the information you have about the aircraft like: registration, date when you shot the picture, airlines, etc....

thanks for cooperation!

How about providing more information on all the photos? Sometimes you look at the meals and wonder what the hell they are supposed to be, because all it might say is the airline it was served on, not what it actually was.

That is just an example, but I think some extra info would benefit all sections of the albums.

Seems there has been some confusion on which url to take to show your aviation images. I have made a screenshot with the one and only correctly working url:

Image

http://coppermine.luchtzak.be/displayim ... ?pos=-3539

Not to get :offtopic: just a hair but, I've been able to upload to coppermine just fine. My problem lies when I want to post a pic in a forum. I understand I need to click the . When I do that I get a square with an X inside it. I am computer illiterate for the most part but I do understand that a javascript needs to be inside the bars. Where can I find the javascript to place inside it from my pics on coppermine?

Did you paste the URL of the page or the pic between the [ IMG ] [ / IMG ] ?
This could be the problem !

I always do it like this

[ URL = 'URL to the page ]
[ IMG ] 'URL to the pic' [ / IMG ]
[ / URL]

an example :

[ URL = http://members.airliners.be/displayimage.php?pos=-2309 ]
[ IMG ] http://members.airliners.be/albums/user ... _TCOAL.jpg [ / IMG ]
[ / URL ]

This would give you following result : A clickable image

Image

No need for any Javascript, simply the URL to your image and the page of that image ...

Did you activate your account via the link in the mail you got ???
As long as you don't click on the link in that mail, your account will not be activated and you won't be able to log in.

No problem SN_Bigbirdy, therefor we created the special FAQ-forum. If you need more help just ask it in the 'website related'-forum or check the FAQ-forum.

The second link is the location of the image (ends on .jpg):

- in internet explorer: right-click on the image then 'properties/eigenschappen'
- in firefox: right-click then 'copy image location'
