In March, Brussels Airport welcomed 1.406.000 pax or an increase with
+9,9% when we compare this with the same month of last year.
Some circumstances are responsible for this. The Spring break was shifted from February to March.
Intra-EU and Low Cost showing very strong growth, they present dubble digit figures. Extra-EU and charters to Extra-EUis also showing an increase although this is less due to the problems in Egypt, Tunesia, Libya and Ivory Cost.

During March, mostly at the beginning of the new IATA-season some carriers started up new services to BRU while other increased their services. One airline, Olympic Airlines, ceased ops to BRU.
-> Royal Jordanian: +1 flight a week to Amman
-> Air Nostrum: 2 new flights ex-BRU to San Sebastian
-> Aer Lingus: increased their number of flights to 18 a week to Dublin
-> Estonian Air: +2 flights a week with their CRJ900
-> Skyways Express: a new carrier and a new destination, Jöngköping with their Embraer 145
-> Belle Air: new LCC at BRU with 3 flights a week to Tirana with their A319
MOVEMENTS
In March there were 19.999 movements at the airport or an increase with
+3,9% when we compare this with the same month of last year.
