wikileaks about subsidies
The Wikileaks start to come through slowly. I could not find yet something about the subsidies for Airbus and support for Boeing.
I am very curious to see if the Wikileaks files show background information about this particular aviation subject.

Re: wikileaks about subsidies
while I am still waiting about some leaks about sbsidies and the tanker deal, we have some related material coming in:
confirmation about the presence of atomic weapons at Dutch and Belgian AFB.
( what every body knows but what our own politicians bluntly refuse to admit )

Re: wikileaks about subsidies
and yes, we have the first aviation link , but completely unexpected. It is about the weird behaviour of prince Andrew , responding about the BAE corruption ( in the Saudi deal )

Re: wikileaks about subsidies
WikiLeaks discloses that French minister urged US Defence Secretary Robert Gates to ensure tanker contest unbiased and that US responded it would be. Nothing really new there.

Re: wikileaks about subsidies
Is it possible that the government already knows what is posted on Wikileaks and has it all planned? lol i know, conspiracy theories, whatever, do you think some of the posts on Wikileaks are actually planned by the government, and then when they're posted out to the public they pretend to be embarrassed?
Re: wikileaks about subsidies
It is a fact that the current leaks are filtered at their own discretion by the 5 media gates. NY Times, Guardian and some other ones.afisara wrote:Is it possible that the government already knows what is posted on Wikileaks and has it all planned? lol i know, conspiracy theories, whatever, do you think some of the posts on Wikileaks are actually planned by the government, and then when they're posted out to the public they pretend to be embarrassed?
More disturbing is that many countries have blocked now the websites of the 5 media gates.

Re: wikileaks about subsidies
El Pais, Le Monde, Der Spiegel are the other 3.
Blocking a website is more theorical than practical (mirrors over the web are easy to make and very difficult to trace)
Anyhow, don't you think once a news is released, it will be widespread on other media too (especially if it's "hot" news) ? Or it's me naive ? I didn't bother to check this ...
@Afisara : Yes the US gov probably knows what's in store.. Probably the pressure is high on the 5 selected newspapers. Trying to block their sites is imho unproductive. Moreover you have the paper edition.
Targetting Assange is also imo unproductive since he is not the only detainter of the leaked files. Probably the CIA is after the WL people in the knowledge.. Haha this is a good spy novel
BTW welcome on LZ

I was happy that a member follows this lead untill the last paragraph where Biman enters the picture. These guys appear unexpected everywhere, even on Wikileaks.Desert Rat wrote:in Fr.http://www.lalibre.be/actu/internationa ... oeing.html

For those who don't speak French, there is a similar article on New York Times online:
