Sabena still alive in Shangai?

We are now 9 years after the bankruptcy of Sabena, but the logo is still used in Shangai. The picture is taken in Shangai-Pudong international Airport. Next to the SN flightnumber (codeshare, operated by Hainan)the Sabena logo is shown.
Noting special, but it's nice to see that this logo is still used 9 years after the bankruptcy.

Last year my AZ ticket for CTA changed;
instead of via FCO with AZ my flight was via MXP,
' flight operated by 'code-share' SABENA ! ' on my ticket/info sheet with e-ticket !

Still think also that a LOT of pax still use Sabena instead of Brussels,
thanks to the SN flightnumber!

Still prefer the Sabena name above Brussels Airlines..
Pity they didn't adopted the name and went for Brussels..
Under the LH umbrella the Sabena name still would have more status..
but that's just history..

outside europe you'll see a lot more sabena then brussels airlines at arrival and departure boards

In the U.S., this kind of thing is pretty common too. I haven't seen Sabena anywhere here, but the Swissair name and logo seems to soldier on in some airport signage. Phoenix's terminal 3 is legendary for this, where you'll still see the names "Midwest Express," "American Trans Air", and I think "Midway" too.

From what I've heard, the burden falls on the airline to make sure airports change names over. During the merger, I know Delta made a point of erasing the 'Northwest/KLM' name from airport signage.

Still, nice to see Sabena live on in Shanghai!
