There are enough group A320 fam parked or in storage, so no need for wetleases.
LH has to many 319, so unlikely that they would be keen to add more.
And between flying and flying profitble there is a sensitive difference.

If another a319/a320 from the group was flying for Brussels Airlines it would still be a wet lease... Brussels Airlines would not phase in those A/C

The group has other priorities. Securing and increasing the market positions in PRG and ARL as expansion markets for Eurowings.
Wetleases are currently politically sensitive, as they would be perceived as "external" employment opportunities.And for SN they might not make economically sense at all, as the other airlines having capacity operate at higher cost.

Of course it's make sense if demand is there. Operating cost of a wet lease are higher than a flight operated by Brussels Airlines self, but still bring some money if demand is there wich is the case.

Lufthansa may be mulling over plans to purchase additional Airbus A220 aircraft for its group.

AFIK also for Brussels Airlines, 3/4 ac

Nothing new. LH still has 30 Options for A220s from the beginning of the C series program - initially targeted to replace SNs AVROs. Somebdy was choosing another option whilst LH was still a minority shareholder.
The mainlines 319 are ageing and need replacement and most likely the CRJs will exit the fleet in the coming years as well.

While Ouagadougou and Conacry will resume in june thanks to the 9th A330-300, it seems that she will fly sonner than forseen as she will be taking out of storage shortly to serve as back up aircraft. She will keep untill further notice the eurowings livery and the eurowings interior.

OO-SFJ is flying right now above Flanders...SN9901...

This is actually a way to reduce cost of the painting of the fleet.

With this way of working, pilot can bring an unpainted plane to EMA and fly back directly with the painted one.

If it wasn't the case, flight crew would have to fly the aircraft to EMA, fligh back as passenger with another airlines while there is no direct flight, then a couple of day later proceed to EMA again to take back the flight to Brussels. With uncertainity of flight due to corona, maybe extra hotel nights in case of flight scheduled...

The way they are doing now is actually a good way to spare some coins. Some coins × 39 aircrafts = lot of money

Repainting an A320x costs approx. $50-60,000 per American Airlines. Deadheading a crew is a marginal cost by comparison.

If the goal was to maximize savings, Brussels Airlines would schedule the next aircraft to be painted on the evening BRU-LHR, then ferry the plane empty to EMA overnight, and bring a freshly painted aircraft back to LHR in time for the morning flight to BRU.

Dead heading and hotel cost are marginal indeed but if it can be avoid, it's always better. Also with dead heading etc it mobilise pilot for more than one day while we are short of crew because of covid, vaccination etc.

You propose to mix LHR scheduled operation with LHR-EMA-LHR ferry flight? Do you know what would be the risk in case of delay and the cost of 2 ferry flights?

The way it is done now is the right way and no worry calculation has been done.

I have no clue, I only saw it on fr24, don't have any inside info. It already took off again to ACC earlier today, so maybe an other spotter saw it? :)
