Jetairfly: new fleet & routes 2010

Post by Jaffer »

Hi started this topic to merge the 2009 en LH-info to a 2010 topic for this year. (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=39053 & viewtopic.php?f=7&t=42084&p=232692#p232692 with thanks to the contributors ;) )

New fleet 2010:
1 737-700 WL OO-JAO (ex D-AHXI from Tuifly; first flight May 2008)
1 737-800 WL OO-JAA (ex N811SY from Sun Country Airlines; first flight August 2007)
At the end of 2010 another brand new 738 is expected with probably the new Boeing Sky Interior as the TUI-group is one of the launch costumers.

New routes from winter 2010:
Malé, Maledives & Colombo, Sri Lanka

May we also expect another B767 or are JAP and TUC enough for this routes.
So the 767 can't be expected on short haules from know, and what about a
back-up for when TUC (or JAP) is out for some hours.
Or is ARKEFLY the new back-up,extra plane for this route ??

Note : I know they ordered a 787 but delivery ??? 8-)

The two new long haul destinations can be served together and normally one time a week. So JAF can eassily deploy one 767 for a one weekly flight to these two destinations. Especially in winter time, because the 767's aren't used on a lot of short/mid haul destinations in winter time because of lower demand.
But I even think it must be possible for JAF to deploy some times a week a 767 on short/mid-haul routes in summer time.

Would be nice :P Hope to fly on it, would love to see it in real life.
There's a presentation on youtube of the new interior:

Hope JAF receives a new one and not another "almost new one" of Tuifly and hope the interior is not too "playmobil-like" in real life
