Yes probably every part of the plane has been replaced in the last few years.

actually its good to have this thread still up here.

I will be flying from BRU to MBJ (via PUJ) on JAF 601 the 4th of July. (returning 14/07)
Any idea if TUC or JAp is foreseen ? I'm ok with both, but its nice to know in advance :)

many thanks in advance

Hi,

Just booked my seat on the flight JAF 727 on 08/08/2010 to Mombasa/Zanzibar.
Return on 23/08.
The question is again: will it be JAP or TUC ?!
Thanks for info.
( Hope for once it isn't TUC ! )

I know it's asked already but never answered.
At the seating-page of JAF they'll have 6! different 767 configurations!
Can you know in advance which plane you'll get by comparing the given seating plans ?

If you book your flight (via sunjets or jetair) you can choose 14 days
before your departure your fav. seat. They send you also the seating
plans 14 days before your flight. If the plane has one(!) exit row above
the wings it will be the oo-tuc, two exit rows means the oo-jap.(also
4 toilets above the wings, the oo-tuc has NO toilets above the wings)
I wish you good luck. I flew with oo-tuc to Kos (begin of july) and
the interior is ok, it seems to be renewed.
Bye

There is nothing wrong with TUC. Some of the 737's have a lot more tech problems then TUC has! And it has a brand new interior. probably better than JAP to fly on for the moment

I know!! ;)
( but his history of 'acccidents' was quite impressive and hot news each time again! )
( know it was just because they hadn't a back-up plane so don't start arguiing ! )
But had TUC already 5x and wanted another reg on my flight list!
Hoping that the D-check and the new interior did something to improve,
because the old 'TUC' was better written off!!
Still don't understand why they did Dcheck + new interior instead of replacing it with a
less older plane like JAP or other Arkes/Thompsons..
