Ladies only toilet on ANA

ALL NIPPON AIRWAYS (ANA) is to offer a female-only toilet facility on most international routes from next month. An airline official told Kyodo news agency that ANA decided to designate women-only lavatories based on a 2007 online survey in which 90% of the women polled said they found the idea attractive. The airline said in a statement it was responding to "numerous requests for this service," adding that the toilet would be located at the rear of the plane and be available to women passengers from all classes. She said demand for women-only toilets was especially high among passengers taking long flights.

Korean Airlines also looks after ladies in the same way.

And that for an airline which has asked passengers to visit the toilet before boarding.....

Actually ,most women fliers identified the most attractive service they wished for being offered, was "desserts", not the toilets. But that is not going to happen. 1 "female" sticker on the toilet-door, of say 1$, and free publicity all over the world. How easy it can be. Michael O'Leary would be proud of it.

I understand that ladies want to sit on clean toilet seats - so do I.
I am also horrofied to see how other males leave behind the sprinkling room.

But I consider it as sexual discrimination if I would not be allowed to use a ladies toilet - for the same reason.

Believe it or not, United used to offer "Men Only" flights from SFO to LAX (One can bet that the stews (old term, not PC now) were not male). Travelers could fly in a DC-8 with mixed PAX, or in a slower DC-7 with more entertainment. Ah, the good old days!
