Info request on Duxford museum UK

Post by cathay belgium »

Hi,

Was wondering if someone could give me some advice/tips for
a trip to Duxford Air Museum.
Always wanted to see the Blackbird in real and as I have to wait too long for a trip to the USA
I was thinking of a day trip from London Stansted. (okay, must confess with FR :? )
Has anybody did this before?
How to get there? ( I tought train to Cambridge and bus to Duxford) but if
anybody has some ideas/tips. Always welcome.

I would love to go to Duxford, there are so few places which display vintage airliners. I do like to see military aircraft but with aviation museums that is all you ever seem to get.
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.
