Continental Airlines BRU - EWR makes stop in Shannon

A Continental Airlines Boeing 767-400, registration N76054 performing flight CO-61 from Brussels (Belgium) to Newark,NJ (USA), was enroute about one hour into the Atlantic Ocean, when the crew decided to return to Shannon (Ireland) after a male passenger (15) fell suddenly ill. The airplane landed safely about 70 minutes later, the passenger was brought to a local hospital.

The airplane departed again after 2.5 hours on the ground and is estimated to reach Newark with a delay of 5 hours.
