Edmee De Groeve BSCA taken in to custody and interrogated

Following "de redactie":
Edmée De Groeve, de voorzitster van de raad van bestuur van de luchthaven van Charleroi (BSCA), is gisternamiddag opgepakt en urenlang ondervraagd. Ze wordt verdacht van misbruik van vennootschaps- goederen.
Edmée De Groeve kwam onlangs in opspraak door uitgaven die ze met haar visa-kaart had gedaan op kosten van het bedrijf. Alle afschriften van die uitgaven zijn verdwenen. Volgens De Groeve zijn ze gestolen. Ook vorige week werd ze al zeven uur ondervraagd.

Waals minister van Vervoer André Antoine (CDH) heeft een onderzoek bevolen. Daaruit blijkt dat De Groeve vorig jaar zowat 2.700 euro per maand uitgaf aan etentjes en relatiegeschenken.

De Groeve is van PS-signatuur en wordt gezien als een vertrouwelinge van voorzitter Elio Di Rupo. Ze is ook de topvrouw van de Nationale Loterij en voorzitster van de raad van bestuur van de NMBS. De Groeve moet wellicht voor de onderzoeksrechter verschijnen die zal beslissen of ze aangehouden wordt.

De Groeve, PS, is seen as a confidante of PS-president Elio Di Rupo. She is also the heading the National Lottery and she's President of the Board of Directors of the NMBS (Belgian Railways). The Groeve may appear before the investigating judge who will decide whether they are held.

Some will say that BSCA is now being cleaned up. I don't agree with that, at the contrary: so far, only one person at BSCA objected to the personal spendings by Edmee De Groeve, and we know what happened to him.

I fully agree. I would even say that Edmee De Groeve will stay at BSCA. She maybe gets only a warning? Which PS'er stepped down when he/she was interrogated?

If all she's being accused of is true, you wonder whether CRL's succes is thanks to or in spite of her...

seems that we are in a middle of a political fight again ... Charleroi region and the PS have a long story. The same juge, France Baeckeland, has been digging the iceberg for years now, discovering a huge story every few months ...

(btw, Buelens is looked by the justice too, for the same reasons that De Groeve, are you surprised ?)

Apparently there is some justice in this country (very optimistic statement) but Edmee De Groeve quit as chairman of BSCA.

25.000 is quite normal for a CEO in this kind of business. If the costs are proven and not paid twice, it's not a problem.
De Groeve, as President of the CA has not the same job and for me has no reason to make such an expense
