Visitors will now surf the entire site on a secured server (https://)

Still found a lot of old luchtzak.be url's, fixed them to aviation24.be

Two new menu items on main page: added https://www.aviation24.be/latest-news/ and https://www.aviation24.be/category/airl ... p-reports/ (also on mobile and amp). The latter is because trip reports deserve more display, the first should be a good landing and click-through page but also a nice trick to rank higher in google ;-)

Still to do: logo - some updates left and right.

Somebody noticed the altered main menu on our main page?

I added these two items:

- https://www.aviation24.be/latest-news/ (latest news is important!)
- https://www.aviation24.be/category/airl ... p-reports/

If you have a trip report, loaded with pictures and some extra information? Don't hesitate to post it in our Airline experience and trip reports-topic. After a positive review, we will publish them on our main page.

Last night I performed some updates on the site. An error in the lay-out, however, caused the main page to fail. I selected a back-up lay-out and will continue to work for a fix.

News lay-out is back up. A few issues still remain, but these will not affect user experience.

Sounds like updates/corrections/"improvements" are done directly on the "production" instance, with no previous validation? If so, that leaves room for improvement. Usual practice is to have, for each web application, several levels before the "production" site that goes online. Even that does not exclude surprises, though... ask me how I know:) !

You are right, I am not learning from my mistakes that I made in the past. I will work on that!

The site is now 100% functional again. :D

And: a staging site has been created to test first all changes to the site. :geek: :ugeek: :geek:

Saturday, update-day! This morning, some updates were performed on the main site. Some users might have noticed the short "Unavailable due to update"-notice. All is running fine!

Something is wrong with the menu's on our main page, an item I will try to sort out. The forums are available via a link that I added on the main page.
