Post by Andries »

Since a few weeks I notices allot of people from Ostend joined Luchtzak. Untill some time ago I was one of the only members that was from ostend. Luckely that has changed ! Now we can have some real duscussions about EBOS
Who else of you is from Ostend ?
Where do you live ?
Do you go to the airport allot ?
Do you take pictures ?
 tell me something about yourself

Something about me :
I live on the Torhoutsesteenweg, about 5min. with my bike from the RWY.
I'm studying at the KHBO (zeedijk), graduaat Luchtvaart.
I am 19 and have about 9.000 aviation pics.

yep, I'm from Ostend.
I'm not born in Ostend, I'm "nen aangespoelden" (translation: I moved to Ostend).

I'm an Aviation freak and I wanted to start to study aviation at the KHBO in eveningschool but there weren't enough people this year.
So maybe next year...

My ultimate dream is to become an ATC one day.
I'm now 25 years old and I'm a manager.

To be honnest I'm not a big EBOS fan, I'm more a BRU fan. BRU has got a bigger international caracter, alltough EBOS is a great Cargo airport.

greatings,
ATC

I like Brussels as well, but what I like about Ostend that allmost every flight you don't know what's comming in. Always lik a surprise-package

But EBOS only can also become boring. That's why I regularly visit BRU, DUS, CGN, CDG, LHR and I hope to do FRA in the future ...

I live in Ostend as well , I live at the "Elisabethlaan", so I can see and hear :D :D all planes landing at the airport out of my window. EBOS is a nice aiport that must keep on growing.

Hey, that's not far from my place. I guess you're 16 or 17 ? Where do you go to school ? Do you take pictures of airplanes ? If yes, what camera do you have ?

Indeed. EBOS should grow. They have a new platform behand the "Oostendse Hallen", but they don't use it ... a real shame. You can put 6 B747's on that platform. Instead of that, they use it for car-driving-schools ... A REAL SHAME !!!!

I'm from the Duinenstraat in Raversijde.
I'm hoping that EBOS will attract more passenger airlines.
Hopefully Mr Vanspauwen will have so good news when he returns next week from Dublin(Ryanair).
Allthough I would rather see Easyjet on the airport with flights to Luton, Malaga, Palma, Faro and Athens.
Lets hope for the best.

I am indeed 16 (17 in april) and I still go to 'Het Onze-Lieve-Vrouwecollege', aka 'Het college'. I am following the direction Latin Mathematics. But I don't go taking pictures because the problem in Ostend is that there are not that much planes landing or leaving.

Ostend may not have allot of traffic, but if we have, it ussually is very interesting.
Most of the aircraft you see at EBOS you will never see at EBBR and vice versa, but we're getting :offtopic:
