SNBA to operate the Brussels-Toulon route for JetOnly/Tui?

Post by OO-SBZ »

While I was checking the prices for the first route of Jet Only / Tui Belgium on http://www.jetonly.be, I found this

sam,17 juil 04 D: 13:30 A: 15:15 Vol SN 1093 Euro 79,00
mer,21 juil 04 D: 15:55 A: 17:40 Vol SN 1094 Euro 59,00

As far as I know, SN refers to SN Brussels Airlines...

Does anybody have more details?

Hello,

i did some research on http://www.jetonly.be and found out that SN Brussels Airlines will operate a lot of charter flights for TUI. Not only Toulon like member OO-SBZ metionned in the topic starter.

here is the list:

BRU-TLN (Toulon)
2 weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays
SN1093-1094
operated: 19/05  18/09

BRU-AJA (Ajaccio)
2 daily on Saturdays
SN1081-1082-1083-1084
operated: 03/04  02/10
The first flight arrives in AJA at 10:10 and leaves for BRU at 16:10
The second flight arrives in AJA at 16:10 and leaves for BRU at 22:10

BRU-BIA (Bastia)
1 weekly flight on Saturdays
SN1085-1086
operated: 01/05  25/09
This flight arrives in BIA at 15:55 and leaves for BRU at 21:40

BRU-CAG (Cagliari)
1 weekly flight on Saturdays
SN1097-1098
operated: 01/05  02/10

BRU-FIG (Figari)
1 weekly flight on Saturdays
SN1089-1090
operated: 26/06  25/09
This flight arrives in FIG at 15:40 and leaves for BRU at 20:40

BRU-OLB (Olbia)
1 weekly flight on Saturdays
SN1095-1096
operated: 29/05  25/09
This flight arrives at OLB at 10:55 and leaves for BRU at 15:45

The darkblue text is to show that a plane is:
 parked at the airport several hours, OR
 this makes it possible to operate a route to a non-Belgian destination ( If we think at the rumour that SN Brussels Airlines might start charter flights from GVA)

P.S. this schedule is not complete as some destinations don't have 2 weekly flights during the first weeks when they start the route. I'm giving information like it is in July.

Hasn't SNBA operated such charter flights last summer ?

That would indeed be an interesting solution to fly the plane to GVA instead of letting it stand at the airport.

I can confirm that SN will operate next summer many many charterflights to non Belgian destinations. Contracts have been signed. Wait and see. For your info: yesterday we operated 319 charters from Liege, Brussels and EBOS to Alicante for Jetair/TUI.

I suppose you mean flights that will leave and land in foreign countries

I'm happy to see that SNBA has managed to get many contracts with tour operators to make charter flights during the next summer season. :P

I'm allready looking forward to hear all those new destinations

Why not make Alicante (ALC) a scheduled SN destination out of BRU :?: It is a year-round & very attractive destination, certainly for Belgians...Benidorm...  At least FQ got the message and will start non-stop scheduled services to Alicante soon :)

Regards,

demol.
Well, for some Belgians

Will that flight replace the one operated by Luxair last summer season? Or is it increased competition?

Just wondering : do you get Privilege (or AAdvantage) miles for those flights too or can you book them using miles??
A weeknd in Corsica might well interest me... :D

Btw,
Last Sunday afternoon, there was a SNBA avro in Malaga (AGP) too...
Another "filling in for SLR" flight?

I don't know if it was full, but the VEX flight we took (TV833, a white B737-400, OO-VBR?) was as good as full.

Since it is a chartered service, SNBA is just the operator of the flight... so you cannot book directly through SNBA... but through a 'tour-operator'

As a result, Privilge, AAdvantage or any other 'frequent flyer bonus' will not be accepted

You're right BeN but you'll still have the excellent service of SNBA :D

Of course, since the flight is operated by SNBA, you get the SNBA service... and if you are lucky, you can even meet Mr.Luchtzak

However the tour operators choose the meal you are -not  - served.

How is SNBA paid by TUI? For example the flight ALC-BRU had 40 pax on board. Does TUI pay per seat or is it just another charter contract?
