White A300/310 @ BRU few days ago
I can't remember if it was Tuesday or Wednesday, but i saw a white A300/310 (passenger version) taking off from 25R.
I haven't found it in the spotters database, so is there one of you who saw this one?
Could this have been an ex-Cyprus Airways A310 which was parked at BRU?

Hello,
5B-DAR and 5B-DAS ; 2* ex Cyprus Airways A310's ; departed to Châteauroux for being scrapped. I've seen them both taking off.
* 5B-DAR on December 15
* 5B-DAS on December 16
Because they made a stop in Zurich, pictures of both aircraft can be found on www.aerpix.net
Regards, Robin Bamps.

Hello OO-VEX,
For me it was a very sad moment too. When I saw the first one taking off, I didn't knew yet that he would be scrapped. But when I saw the second one taking off the day after, I almost start crying
The last in-service-pictures were made:
* 5B-DAR ; December 19, 2002
* 5B-DAS ; November 03, 2002
When they were stored at BRU, they doesn't seem in that bad condition. They were quite clean. But with the take-off I noticed they were quite noisy and the sound of the engines was a little "shaky".
I have the tail of 5B-DAR on picture, sadly enough I wasn't able to frame the whole airplane
Regards, Robin Bamps.

Very sad indeed...
Something strange: following www.aerotransport.org, 5B-DAQ (another A310) is currently as 'derelict' at Chateauroux.
What do they exactly mean? Because I didn't see this aircraft over there in the end of June 2003.
I mailed a friend in CHR about this, will see what his answer is about those two A310's.
Stored A310's: CHR has a lot of Khaliffa's, + recently also an SU A310 a/w (F-OGYP as far as I remember).
Regards
Frederic

I've noticed that the majority of planes that are stored in the deserts in the USA are Boeing's and Lockheed's. I never saw any Airbus plane. Does anybody know were the Airbuses go for retirement
Ciao
Chris
I saw that one this summer during the Air show. It is very sad... look at this one :

Is correct Frederic: according my info 5B-DAQ arrived @ CHR on October 13 coming from Lemwerder and the plane is to be parted out. In this context the description "derelict" could be justified.Sabena_690 wrote:Something strange: following www.aerotransport.org, 5B-DAQ (another A310) is currently as 'derelict' at Chateauroux.
