I have a small request for this Saterday 25th;
I will leave with some colleagues on a B757 of EAT around 10:30LT to Epinal for some touch & goes (if the wx permit of course)
we will be BCS906T and should come back around 16:00LT.

If anyone could capture a shot It would be wonderful!

HU491 departed AMS (for BRU) 09:47

So it will have landed here around 10:30

Reason for the diversion was fog (Source: Scramble)

A couple of months ago HU also diverted (to FRA back then) when almost all other flights landed normally. Maybe the Chinese regulations advise to divert faster (= with higher visibilities)? I also remember the GWL and CI diversion from AMS to BRU in March, whereas for example flights from USA-airlines landed at AMS... Just speculation from an outsider.

Strange... I arrived at the airport around 06.00. There was some fog, but it was really not that bad.

Indeed the HU was diverted and left again with about an hour delay, normal ETD is 13.00...

According to flightstats, this flight was diverted to AMS.

At the same time, another Chinese plane was also diverted to AMS: B-2056, a B777 China Southern with destination CDG.

It seems that the Chinese are very cautious...

Have you done some touch and goes on August 25th? If yes could it be OO-DPN?

Yeah we did! 7 landings in real! 5 persons on board and an empty plane!
This was the best day in my life!

I must say, it's easier than what I thought, you just do what you learned in the simulator and everything happens exactly as you want!

We left Zaventem in the afternoon our plane was OO-DPJ.
