Loadfactor Brussels Airlines

Post by pijaleu »

Hello,

I'm interesting to know the loadfactor of the Brussels Airlines flights.
I read on the website of AEA it was about 68% in April.
I fly with Bru.Air twice a month to GVA and these flights are very well loaded, something between 80 and 100%.
Can you please let me know on which flight you were and what was the loadfactor on this flight?

Figures on other airlines are welcome too.

Thanks and keep on flying!!

Well,

I am quite regularly on FRA-BRU-FRA and here the loadfactor seems to be well below 50% very often (mabe it is higher into FRA in the morning, but I am not so sure about this either). This low loadfactor is somehow surprising because the two BruAir flights a day are the only competition on this route for the about 8 LH flights a day (and those mostly have above 80% load factor from my experience and using bigger planes)

I am as well regularly on BRU-THF-BRU and here the loadfactor seems to be better, somewhere between 60% and 90% most of the time. This is not surprising as this is by far the best connection between BRU and Berlin, as BruAir flies into the close-to-city-centre THF instead of TXL or even SXF and is using its comfortable 5-abreast Avro's and not those horrible CRJ100/200s LH is using to TXL.

The gva flights are doing well, I take them on a weekly basis, never saw below 60%... not sure how much easyjet's new flights will affect the loadfactors on the sn flights to gva. as for frankfurt, I think that a substantial number of pax on LH are connecting through frankfurt on LH longhaul.

Last week it was again 80% (BRU-GVA at 6.35h) and 95% (GVA-BRU at 19.25h)
Let's wait and seen on Easyjet.
Their timetable doesn't look that good. I'll stick to Bru.Air.

When I departed out of BRU I noticed the flight to Newcastle only had some 30-40 passengers.

Any figures on other flights?

Milano, malpensa flights seem to around 50% (three weekly flights I take)
sometimes fuller sometimes almost empty

The BGY flights seem to be around 70% (most of the time also with a B737)

From experience GVA should be at 75% full on route basis. especially Thursday, Friday and Sunday flights are filled
