A358 v B789 Thrust requirements

The figures I have for thrust requirements for the 350-800 and the 787-900 both at 540,000lbs are 75,000 for the 350 and 70,000 for the 787.

Can anyone tell me of the likely reason for the different thrust requirements?

Assuming the XWB retains a bleed air configuration, that may be the answer, as the 787 figure would have to be nett of electrics, which have been reported at anything up to 1500kW, which would be about 2000HP or 4000lbs of thrust.
