Flanders Airlines press release - Spring/Summer 2007 season

Post by flandersairlines »

In this press release
- Delay regarding restyling
- Launch Spring/Summer 2007 season
- A318 has arrived

_____________________________________

1. Delay regarding restyling

As you all have noticed, the restyling, scheduled at the beginning of April, hasn’t arrived yet. First of all we have occurred some time problems, including a computer crash. But this is not the main reason of the delay. We have delayed it, because we want to launch the restyling (the “new” Flanders Airlines), including the new website, together with a redesigned version of ePirep. We cannot tell you more details about it, but it will certainly upgrade the reality level of our virtual airline.
The launch of the restyling is now scheduled at the 1st of July 2007.

2. Launch Spring/Summer 2007 season

Due to the delay of the restyling, we are launching our 3th season of operations still in the “old” Flanders Airlines.
The Flanders Airlines operations are already “restyled”. Liverpool, Lugano, Guernsey and Thessalonica are dropped. But in return we are offering a wide selection of new destinations (thanks to the arrival of two new aircraft… see further) as Copenhagen, Hamburg, Lisbon, Madrid, Moscow, Stuttgart and Tel Aviv!
We have also a new codeshare partner: GoFly. Thanks to this airline, we can offer our business passengers up to two daily flights to Manchester! Also our extra flights to London City will please those passengers…
Due to closing of Berlin Tempelhof Airport in October 2007, Flanders Airlines is already moving his Berlin operations to Berlin Tegel Airport. Already booked passengers can take a free shuttle service to Tempelhof airport.

But most of the changes can be found at the timetables of Flanders Sun. With more than 15 new holiday destinations, we are offering our passengers (and especially our pilots) some nice virtual flights.
One of our two Airbus 321s will be based at Brussels from Monday till Wednesday, and during the summer holidays (from the 29th of June) an extra, wet leased, Airbus 320 from our mother company ACBA will join our fleet at Brussels Airport.

3. A318 has arrived

Last but not least our two Airbus 318s have arrived at Antwerp. One of the aircraft, OO-FAN, includes a wonderful billboard livery for Stella Artois, made by our pilot FLA009 Henry Douglas. Please note that a “normal” Flanders Airlines livery isn’t available (yet), as it is already painted in the restyled livery.

I hope to have informed you as much as possible.

Happy 3th season,

Anthony C.

Well I wish you good luck with the restyling process, keep in mind that the A318 might have operational restrictions out of antwerp!
