My father wanders what he has to do at check-in desk if he booked two "electronic" tickets online. How can he be sure he is in the system? How can he legitimate himself en the 2nd person when tickets are bought with the same creditcard. And does this also aply at the airport in Vienna for his return flight, will they have information about electronic tickets aswell?
It is the first time he will buy tickets online, till now he always used paper tickets and he thinks it still much safer
The only official legitimation needed at check-in is a valid identity card or passport of the passenger(s). By mentioning your name and destination the check-in agent is able to retrieve your reservation, both in Bru and Vie. However, it's recommended to have a print-out of the confirmed reservation included the electronic ticketnumber. Much easier for the check-in agent and 'just in case'... Anyway, tell your father the big advantage of an electronic ticket is that he can't loose it
