Guys, most of us (even me) are excited about the new name and paint job but let's face the facts. Nothing much is going to change.
5 years from now, we'll still have a second class carrier making BRU a second class airport. They'll still be using Avros and the combined fleet will not grow significantly from now if at all.
Unless they announce some strategic fund injecting partnership (and I'm not talking a couple 10s MLN €) on Nov. 7 along with the 5 year party to celebrate still being around when everybody thought they'd be dead, the raised cake will soon sink again and it will be back to business as usual.
Brussels and Belgium have enough potential on their own and if they believe that Africa, the forgotten continent, is a better place for them to do business, they will be faced with the reality of deception and showing their incompetence in proudly raising the flag at home.

Remember what happened to Sabena a few years ago, when the managment ordered about 40 Airbusses.....beaucaire wrote:If you imagine - a start-up in Ohio (Skybus..) just ordered 65 xA319's ....
Ohio is right in the middle of nowhere - Brussels is right in the center of Europe - and we still talk vintage Avro operation.
SNBrussels lost the Camair-deal,they are losing momentum all together...
Ordering planes isn't everything, there must be destinations and passengers to make the planes profitable....

Pressed the wrong button
I'm sorry, I meant to post my reply in the SN/TV main thread, I did not intend to start a new thread.
On a sidenote, I feel that we are free to express frustration as long as it is civil aviation/latest news related.
If SN or it's supporters can't take criticism, then they won't deserve accolades either should they once qualify.
