Orchid Airways Press Release

Post by Pinguin »

SYDNEY/BRUSSELS - Ochid Airways, a new Australian airline, based in Sydney and Melbourne is about to start in November 2006. Orchid Airways is a daughter airline of Air Belgium since the 1st of August this year. Following the example of Air Belgium, Orchid Airways flies with Airbus aircraft, the fleet consist of: 9 Airbus A320’s, 2 Airbus A319’s and 4 Airbus A330-200. 2 A330-200 and the A319’s are surplus aircraft of the Air Belgium fleet. The main reason that Orchid Airways and Air Belgium uses Airbus is because of their similarity.

Orchid Airways will bring you an exellent service on board of one of our daily regional and international flights. When flying Orchid, you can choose between three classes: Crystal (First), Diamond (Business) and Explorer (Economy). Every class is adapted to suit your needs. Only or long haul flights (Hong Kong and Perth) have a 3 class configuration, thus the only flights where Crystal Class is available.

Our are classified into different types, “CityExpress”, “CityExpress Direct” and “Orchid Regional” are the flights inside Australia. “New Zealand Express” are flight towards New Zealand or flights between cities in New Zealand, and finaly there are the “International” Flights, those are the long haul flights outside the Oceanic continent.
